Now, obviously this isn't on top of our cab. It is in the bed of our truck, and how we're doing that is utilizing Yakima's bedrock system. So if you have some smaller bars, it's really. it's only gonna take up about 11 inches of your bars. So you can put multiple on top of here or also just have one on either side of your cargo basket or something like that. more

Today our 2015 Chevrolet Silverado, 1500 crew cab, we'll be testing the Yakima frontloader, wheel-mounted bike rack, part number Y02103. Let's go ahead and start by placing the rack in the bars. Once we have that seated we can go ahead and begin tightening. I'm going to want to make sure that is lined up as straight as we can. And begin tightening our c-lever here. It should start to grip. more

Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 crew cab we will be test fitting the Yakima ForkLift. That's part number Y02098. With our skewer already removed it makes for an easier installation on our roof rack. We'll go ahead and place that up there and begin our test fit. You'll want to make sure that goes around the load bars here. As you can see, we've got three notches. more

Yakima ForkLift Roof Mounted Bike Rack Review - 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, were going to be test fitting the Yakima Forklift, a fork mount roof bike rack with part number Y02098. With our Yakima Q-towers roof rack system already installed on the Silverado, well begin our test fit by placing our bike rack directly onto our crossbars. Here at the front, were going to remove the skewer, slide back the black plastic cover, and loosen the T-handle. This will allow us to remove the T-bolt through the slot. Well then separate our clamp, bring the lower portion of our clamp around the underside of our crossbar, reinsert our T-bolt through the slot, and tighten it down with the black T-handle. We can then slide our black plastic cover forward, and reinsert our skewer. With our front secured, its time to move to the rear. more

Swagman Upright Roof Mounted Bike Rack Review - 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. We're going to be test fitting the Swagman upright roof bike rack. Part number S64720. With our Yakima Q Tower roofrack system already installed on the Silverado, we'll begin our test fit by placing the bike rack directly on to our crossbars. To get the front, we'll bring one of the U bolts around the underside of our crossbar, fit it up through the head of the carrier and thread on two wing nuts. We'll then take a second U bolt, bring it around the underside of our crossbar, up through the head of the carrier, and secure it with two wing nuts and well. We'll then tighten down all four of our wing nuts, and that will have the front of our rack secured through our vehicle. more
